Well, here we are again, several years later this time... my apologies to anyone that may actually follow this. The boys are all good, somehow they are 14, nearly 11, and will be 9 in December. Time is a crazy, crazy thing. Dylan had surgery last year on his legs, he's been doing really well since. The procedures helped straighten his legs and lengthened some of the tight leg muscles so they are a little looser, he still needs daily stretching, and is still getting physical therapy 3x/week. He will be getting hardware out in January, and most likely a surgery on his knees, although this one will not be near as intense as the last. He goes to Nemours Children's Hospital in Delaware, we love our surgeon, and the medical teams there are great, not to mention their Child Life program, they keep all the kids smiling.
Mama B's has still been kept on the back burner, life has just demanded more of my attention than I expected I guess. Forks Farm sold, and the markets came to an end, I believe they still have their barn store, but I do miss going to market days. I still make products, although anymore they are on an, as ordered, or as I need, basis. I always have chapsticks available, at times some are out of stock, but we always have 2-3 scents made up.... I can't go without my chapstick! Now that I've used mine for so long I really don't care for store bought at all. Our Love Your Face Cream is another that I make quite often, I use that daily and have several friends that have continued to purchase it, so the batches usually go fast.
If you are every looking for our products send me a message! I'm happy to make up whatever you are looking for.
On more of a personal note, life is a crazy thing, when you're young you think you've got it all figured out, or you just have less to figure out might be the thing, the older you get the more you realize that the ones older than you (parents, role models, etc) that you thought had everything figured out, were just winging some of it too. There is no crystal ball, no secret book you get at 30, 40, 50 that gives you lives answers and what move you should do next. We just keep living, and figuring things out as we go.
The world has felt heavy lately, there's just a lot of negativity everywhere you look, unless you make it a point to NOT look, not watch the news, newspapers, stay away from negative reels, and posts on social media. I know the past few years I have found my way back to God. I found a church that I love, our kids enjoy going to their youth group and Kids Kamp in the summer. I never thought I'd be one to tell my story about getting back to God, but I feel so much better when I spend some time throughout my day praying, listening to christian music, and avoiding the suckholes of negativity. Obviously you can't always avoid it, there are things in life that are unavoidable, things we shouldn't stick our heads in the sand about, because it simply doesn't make things better. I believe it's time for more people to hear the word of God, to understand that being bitter and angry isn't where it's at, and that there is so much more than what we see on screens.
